3 weeks and getting nowhere

So, basically, I've been home now for three weeks. At least it seems like three. It's entirely possible that it's only been two, but being so far from "home," time seems to go slower. It is nice to not have any expenses. It is a pain to follow my parent's rules; which aren't typically anything out of the ordinary. However -- there is nothing like come home at 3 am because i'd been playing HALO the last 3 or more hours. My parents don't like me to drive after 2 AM; well, in Utah, they're not around to enforce that, whatsmore, my friend's house was less than a block away.

I don't think there's another kid my age that lives a block or less away from my house. I know of the kids who lived around growing up; my best friend was around the block. His family moved after high-school though, and for some reason, I was never really friends with the super cute girl two doors down.

Anyway, the title of this BLOG is because I've now been home for however long, and I do have a job - it's my sanity; however, it's not a GOOD ENOUGH job. There's money, and then there's MONEY. I wil never make it to Europe for more than a week with the kind of money I make at this place. I wish it might be one week's work for one week's play -- however, it appears as though I need a second job. Which I'm not at all adverse to anyway because, well, I need money. Donations are accepted. =D

This town is a pain in the butt - there are very few locations where you don't have to know someone to get an interview. It doesn't help that I'm not an attractive, curvy, female who is able to giggle her way to a $10 tip. Hell, I'm not even female. Crap. So much for the restaurant business. Being nice to people only gets you so far. How about a job where you can be mean to people? Shoot. I need to work @ the DMV. Since when did they care about customer service? Hell ya! Let's Do IT! Anyway, Pensacola at least is warm, and we're all bracing for the WORST hurricane season ever.

Here's hoping God gets it right this time and manages to wipe N'Orleans clean off the map. Or maybe we should just let it implode. Any takers?
